A letter from our President & CEO
At OCCU, we are ready to rise to the challenge and lean into our belief that we exist not only to support our members’ financial needs, but to enrich the lives of those around us. We are tenacious about helping our members to thrive. As we come together to navigate the local impacts of COVID-19, we are committed to continuing to provide the service and stability that our community has come to expect.
I am proud to say that in addition to offering special programs to support our members and employees during these challenging times, we have continued our work to reduce or eliminate member account-related fees – more than 40% to-date - including monthly checking account service charges and non-qualification and temporary check fees.
As we continue our work to drive positive community outcomes, we’re beginning to further leverage the OCCU Foundation. In response to the impacts of COVID-19, the OCCU Foundation partnered with organizations throughout our community to provide critical services to our friends and neighbors. And, all the while, our employees have continued to step up with big hearts to volunteer donating blood, sewing cloth face coverings and supporting neighbors with grocery and prescription deliveries.
I’d like to say thank you to each of you, too, for your collaboration and continued commitment to making our community an engaging and desirable one. We are in this together and I am confident that we will only strengthen our collective impact in the months and years to come.
Respectfully,
Ron Neumann
OCCU President & CEO
